Half Moon - looking for writers to run half-day courses

Half Moon is a company of experienced writers working to provide poetry and writing workshops, exploring different landscapes, genres, and approaches to writing every month. If you like to write, walk, and explore some of Britain’s most beautiful natural environments, then these are the workshops for you.

We offer half-day and full weekend courses, delivering outdoor workshops located in various beauty spots across the UK. Half-day workshops run for 2-3 hours, with time for writing, walking, socialising, and then readings and lunch at a local pub or venue. Weekend workshops offer full or half-day walks (depending on the location) one-to-one tutorials, group activities, and time for writing.

Job opportunities

We are currently building up a catalogue of writers to run our half-day courses. The walk and the theme of the workshop are decided by the writer, and the route is mapped in collaboration with Half Moon prior to the event. Fees range between £12.00 and £35.00 per person per workshop, with a minimum charge of £12 per person. The workshop will need to cater for a maximum of fifteen participants, and we prefer to work closely with the writer on local/net publicity, to ensure a full turnout.
