Regional Sub-commitees of the Arts Council of Wales.

Terms of Reference

The Terms of Reference for these committees are reviewed and approved by Council on an annual basis. These document were last reviewed and approved by Council in February 2011.

Role of the Committees

1. Developing and monitoring a Regional Plan and strategies in the context of the national strategic plan;
2. Advising Council on the work of revenue clients and prospective revenue clients within the Committee area;
3. Advising Council on the development needs of the infrastructure and the arts within the Committee’s area;
4. To foster and nurture links with Local Authorities within the Committee’s area;
5. To provide advocacy tools and information for use within Local Authorities to promote the case for the arts;
6. To support the work of regional officers;
7. To participate in the monitoring and reviewing of arts activity.
